Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub

Walking into the Covent Garden Dior store is a treat. Luxury brands are still a novelty for me; the packaging of every product is beautifully designed and the service (for the most part) is second to none. Although one does pay a pretty penny for all these things, a treat-yourself moment every now and then is necessary. Dior is a brand that I would highly recommend as a brand that is worth your hard-earned cash.

One of the first products I was excited to try was the Dior Addict Lip Scrub. This comes in the form of a lipstick packaging rather than a pot, and is entirely edible instead of having to apply it and then wipe it off. The product itself is also slightly tinted, which is one of my favourite qualities because it brings out the natural colour in my lips (don’t let the pink scare you!).

The scrub is gentler than what I thought it would be; it’s more a product that is beneficial over a period of use rather than in one or two uses. This has quickly become a staple in my handbag because it keeps my lips healthy and moisturised, plus it is soooo pretty to look at čÖé

Current Brow Game: L.A. Girl Shady Slim Brow Pencil

I have been trying many a brow pencil since trying the Anastasia Brow Wiz and none have come close. I bought the Elf brow pencil in America, and although the colour was phenomenal, the pencil itself was quite fat and made precision a bit of a challenge. Then the NYX Micro Brow pencil had the precision but I found all the shades too warm for my hair colour.

All in all, I was searching for precision, a good colour match, and a pencil with a spooly (brush) on the other end. Fast-track to a month ago, I stumbled across the L.A. Girl stand in Dischem, where I had found a gorgeous highlight just a few weeks prior (click here to see that blog post). I noticed that they were now stocking the L.A. Girl Shady Slim Brow Pencil that seemed to fit the bill. I brought the pencil home and instantly fell in love.

The pencil┬ádoesn’t break off in chunks, it has the perfect consistency, and the tip is super fine, making precision a dream. There is also a spooly on the other end to brush out and soften the look, and guys, this baby retails for R85 *pause for effect*.

If you are just starting to sculpt your brows or have the same needs I had, then definitely pick one of these up.
