Vegan Banana & Chocolate Oats

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp. cacao powder
  • 1 handful berries
  • maple syrup (optional)

Method

  • Combine oats, water and almond milk in a small pot and place on the stove on a high heat
  • Slice 2/3 of the banana and add to oats mixture (this will add some sweetness, depending on how ripe the banana is)
  • Stir the mixture until it starts to boil, then turn down to a simmer
  • Once the banana has mostly dissolved, add the cacao powder and stir to combine
  • Remove from the stove and serve in a bowl
  • This is where you can add the maple syrup if you need more sweetness
  • Chop up the remaining banana and add on top, along with the berries

And there you have it – a super quick, healthy, and oh-so yummy breakfast. This never takes me more than 10 minutes to prepare from start to finish.
