I no longer have problematic skin (click to view the post of my full skin story), but I do get the monthly few spots on my face along with everything that that entails (scarring etc. yay!)
I like to keep my skincare routine minimal, so when those pesky things make their appearance, I love using these two products from The Body Shop to tame them: the Tea Tree Face Mask and the Tea Tree Blemish Gel. So when it’s nearing that time of the month (aka this means war), and I can start to see a difference in my skin, I apply the face mask, and then afterwards I apply the blemish gel to specific areas. I would suggest waiting about 20 minutes to let the gel sink in before applying your moisturising products.
The mask feels cooling and tingly when you apply it, you wait 10 – 15 minutes before rinsing it off, and the next morning you should notice a difference. With heavier blemished skin, it says to expect results after a few uses. Also, you should only use this weekly. The gel doesn’t feel like much, i.e no tingling, but I really like having a targeting product that I have more control over, and this can be applied daily.
The Tea Tree range is specifically targeted towards blemished skin and I have been really impressed with the results. Try it out if you have the same 🙂
